Hour 6 - JSON: A Low-Code introduction for No-Coders (30 Minutes)

Users building solutions with the Power Platform that have no coding experience, or a limited understanding of code, are considered to be Low-Code, No-code developers.

  • JSON: A Low-Code introduction for No-Coders

Users building solutions with the Power Platform that have no coding experience, or a limited understanding of code, are considered to be Low-Code, No-code developers. Although the Power Platform products offer drag-and-drop features that are perfectly suited for these users to quickly create basic solutions, eventually users encounter what may appear as a jumbled mess of text, numbers, and symbols. Here is where we typically see No-Code development becoming Low-Code development, and when having a basic understanding of JSON, or JavaScript Object Notation, is extremely useful. Not only will it help to resolve errors, but users are then empowered to create more advanced solutions, thus extending the reach of their abilities within the Power Platform. This session will cover the definition, as well as basic syntax and structure of JSON; formatting and supported data types; the role JSON plays in various applications with useable examples; tips, tricks, best practices, and additional resources for learning more. After attending the session, attendees should have a basic understanding of JSON and its role in the Power Platform; be able to recognize and describe it in basic terms to others; and have the confidence to further explore JSON through the creation of more technical solutions using the Power Platform.

In this session, focused on Microsoft Power Automate cloud flows, we will explore the advanced error handling features of the tool and demonstrate how to use them to build robust and resilient solutions.

  • Power Automate Mastery: Error Handling in Cloud Flows

WHAT: In this session, focused on Microsoft Power Automate cloud flows, we will explore the advanced error handling features of the tool and demonstrate how to use them to build robust and resilient solutions. You will also get guidance on how to efficiently review and monitor your flows, as well as get detailed error reports when things don't go the way they should. WHY: As adoption of the Power Platform grows, so does the need to make sure that the solutions built with it are stable and reliable. While Power Automate offers a spectrum of features for error handling, it does not actually have any kind of a generally accepted framework for doing it. It is also very frequently used by citizen developers and non-IT makers who are not necessarily familiar with the concept of handling errors. As such, many developers remain unfamiliar with how to effectively build robust flows (or even that they should do it at all). This session addresses this need, equipping you with essential techniques to enhance the robustness of your cloud flows. HOW: In this hands-on session we'll demonstrate how to: - Use and implement advanced error handling features of Power Automate Cloud Flows. - Implement best practices for handling errors and generating proper (and actually useful) error notifications to users. - Log relevant information for monitoring and analysis. - Build a standardized flow structure that can be reused for each flow. TAKEAWAYS: After this session, you will have gained valuable insights into advanced error-handling features specific to Power Automate Cloud Flows. You will be able to build resilient cloud flows with proper logging, error notifications, as well as create a framework that can be re-used for future cloud-based solutions. You will also become familiar with the best practices of making your Power Automate Cloud Flows reliable and efficient. This condensed session is your express ticket to fortifying your cloud flows with enhanced error-handling prowess. Un

  • Maximizing App Potential: Integrating Azure Insights and Process Mining for Enhanced User Experience

In the dynamic landscape of application development, it's not just about making apps better for users. It's also key to spot and fix performance problems early. If not, these issues might slip through, leading to unhappy users, poor app performance, and even users giving up on the app. Catching these problems early is vital to keep your app competitive and in good shape. Our session offers a smart solution: combining Microsoft Azure Application Insights with your apps and using Process Mining for deeper analysis. Azure Application Insights gives detailed statistics on how people use your apps and how well they perform. By linking this service with your apps, you get a clear picture of both usage and performance. We go a step further in this session by bringing in Process Mining. This tool takes all that data and turns it into useful insights. It shows you exactly how users interact with your app and where it can be improved. We'll also look at the role of Copilot in Process Mining. Copilot is like a smart helper, making it easier to find and fix any issues. It speeds up analyzing data and makes it simpler, which is great for both developers and those making decisions. Join us in this session to learn how to connect your apps with Azure Application Insights and use Process Mining and Copilot for thorough analysis.
